San Bruno Police Log, Aug. 30-Sept. 1: Suspected Marijuana Grow House, Resident Spitting on Cable Worker, and Person Shoving Fire Extinguishers into Mailboxes

A sampling of incidents reported to the San Bruno Police from Aug. 30-Sept. 1.

Aug. 30

1:17am. A man reported to police that he had been assaulted on Crestmoor Drive, saying that his ex-girlfriend punched him in the face.

Some time between 1:20am and 2:10am, police responded to a report of a drunk driver on the 600 block of Huntington Avenue.

9:04am. A caller reported to police a hit-and-run accident at the San Francisco County Jail on Moreland Drive, saying he had been hit from behind by a white Dodge Ram.

2:24pm. A caller contacted police to complain about a neighbor on the 600 block of Third Avenue whom seemed to be buying up a number of vehicles and working on them in the street.

6:52pm. Police received a report of a man on bicycle on the 600 block of San Mateo Avenue who appeared to be holding a handgun under his arm.

7:07pm. Someone reported that a Plymouth Grand Voyager on the 1000 block of Cherry Avenue had its front and rear tires slashed.

8:26pm. Police received a report that a man had approached someone inside Building 2 at Skyline College and began to fondle himself and ask sexually charged questions.

Aug. 31

3:11am. Police helped out another department that was looking for a green Nissan Maxima on the 300 block of Felipe Avenue suspected of being involved in a gang shooting in Sunnyvale on Aug. 30.

9:01am. Someone reported an incident of suspected grand theft on the 1000 block of National Avenue, saying that a vacuum and other items had been stolen from an unlocked car.

10:33am. Someone reported that the convertible top of a BMW on the 400 block of Cherry Avenue had been slashed.

8:28pm. Police assisted firefighters who responded to a fire on the 600 block of Elm Avenue involving a possible marijuana grow house.

11:30pm. A taxi driver flagged down police on San Bruno Avenue reporting that he had been robbed at gunpoint by two passengers. The passengers were last seen fleeing westbound on foot on San Bruno Avenue near Crestmoor Avenue.

Sept. 1

6:29am. Someone from O'Dowd Plumbing reported that one of their work vans had been stolen earlier that morning.

10:53am. A caller reported a possible incident of identity theft, saying that a person working at his job had been allegedly been using his information to get employment.

1:04pm. Someone reported that a man with a ponytails who looked to be in his 20s was stealing recyclables on the 2000 block of Crystal Springs Road.

3:33pm. A caller reported that a wallet had been stolen from the glove box of a rental car on the 1700 block of El Camino Real.

3:58pm. Someone reported that a resident on the 700 block of Walnut Street spat on a cable worker and removed an orange traffic cone to prevent the cable worker from continuing with the job.

8:55pm. Police received a report that someone was shoving fire extinguishers into mailboxes on the 800 block of Commodore Drive.
