San Bruno Police Log: Lewd Act, Drunks, Drunk Drivers and More Car Burglaries

1:06 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of San Mateo Avenue where they arrested a combative woman who had been drinking.  The woman was transported to the county jail.

8:04 a.m.: A vehicle in the 8200 block of Shelter Creek Lane had its window smashed and stereo stolen.

8:16 a.m.: Officers were called to the 1300 block of Park Avenue where the owner of a car avoided having the window smashed by leaving the car unlocked.  Two credit cards, some money and a headset were stolen.

9:21 a.m.: Officers were called to the 800 block of Traeger Avenue where someone had broken into a business but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

1:27 p.m.: A car parked near San Bruno Avenue and Skyline Blvd. had its windshield smashed.

1:38 p.m.: A woman in the 400 block of San Anselmo Avenue told police she believes her ex husband is responsible for the annoying text messages she has been receiving.

2:27 p.m.: A vehicle parked in the 2800 block of San Bruno Avenue West was burglarized, possibly by a man with tattoos on his fist.

5:28 p.m.: A citizen called to report that, yet again, there was a Hispanic man selling strawberries in the 1000 block of Crystal Springs Road.

6:15 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of El Camino Real where there was a report of a man who had been drinking.

7:04 p.m.: Police were called to the 1100 block of El Camino Real where a man was reportedly involved in lewd acts.  Officers arrested 29-year-old Juan Jose Cabrera of South San Francisco who allegedly shot videotape under women’s skirts.

8:01 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the vicinity of San Bruno Avenue and Crestmoor Drive where a car had run into a utility pole.  It was determined that the pole didn’t need PG&E.  The driver, 24-year-old San Bruno resident Ray Malaspina was arrested for drunk driving.

10:42 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Balboa Way where there was a party that was a little too loud for at least two separate callers.

12:46 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Cypress avenue where a group of men were working on high end vehicles in the garage of an unoccupied home.

Time Unknown: Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of San Mateo Avenue where they encountered a man who had drunk too alcohol.  Officers arrested the man and he was booked into the county jail.

2:08 a.m.: Officers were asked to come talk to a group of people loitering and making a lot of noise in the 2800 block of Maywood Drive.

3:41 a.m.: A citizen called to report a car in the 700 block of Shelter Creek Lane had a window broken out.

11:25 a.m.: Officers were called to the 100 block of Cabrillo Way where they opened an investigation into the theft of a car.

12:02 p.m.: Officers were called to the 1000 block of Bayhill Drive where a car had been burglarized.

6:32 p.m.: Police received a report that an unknown person had dumped a bunch of stuff in a parking lot in the 200 block of Linden Avenue.  Among the dumped items was a couch and a vacuum cleaner. 

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
