6:12 p.m.:  Someone smashed the rear window of a truck parked in the 1200 block of El Camino Real.  The window smasher took a notebook computer.

6:40 p.m.: A car parked in the 800 block of El Camino Real had its window smashed and some items were stolen.

8:47 p.m.: Back to the 1200 block of El Camino Real where the passenger side window of a vehicle was smashed open and a driver’s license and credit cards were stolen.

5:15 a.m.: Police received a report of a man who was stealing recyclables in the 400 block of Cedar.  The man was wearing a baseball cap and riding a 10-speed bike.

7:25 a.m.: Police received a complaint about a man in the 2500 block of Wentworth who works on cars around the clock.

9:38 a.m.:  The driver’s side window of a car parked at 1100 El Camino Real was smashed.  The thief took a store credit card, an ATM and other miscellaneous items.

10:00 a.m.: A resident living in the 800 block of Easton Avenue reported an Apple computer was stolen from the home.

12:55 p.m.: (This is embarrassing) Police opened an investigation into the theft of a car from the 1100 block of Montgomery Avenue.  The vehicle owner had dropped the car off for repairs and it was stolen from the repair shop.  It is unclear if the repairs had been completed.

1:22 p.m.: Someone broke into a car parked in the 100 block of Eastburn Court and stole a navigation system and a pair of sunglasses.

7:56 p.m.: In a sign of the times, a resident in the 2600 block of Oakmont Drive reported his pot was stolen by the driver of a black Ford or Toyota truck.

20:07 p.m.: Police arrested a drunk driver.  The person hanging out the passenger side window was a tip off that the people in the car had been drinking.

10:29 p.m.: Those guys who were making all the noise in the 100 block of San Marco Avenue weren’t really partying, they were just having a boys night in.

4:06 p.m.: The woman who called from the 400 block of Hazel to report hearing voices in her head also stated she didn’t want to go to the hospital.

6:41 p.m.: An off duty officer called to report a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of El Camino Real had its back window smashed.

8:24 p.m.: The owner of a vehicle parked in the 1100 block of El Camino Real reported his car had been burglarized.

9:21 p.m.: Two women were involved in a physical altercation in the3300 block of College Drive.

2:44 p.m.: A vehicle parked in the 900 block of Cherry was burglarized.

Time Unknown: A car parked in the 500 block of Oak Avenue was burglarized.  The owner of the vehicle lost a wallet but because the doors were unlocked, the windows weren’t smashed.

Saturday, March 16, 2013

12:46 a.m.:  Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of San Mateo Avenue where a man was making threats.  The man was passed out when officers arrived on the scene.

3:24 a.m.: A retired sheriff called to report a small group of people smoking dope in the 400 block of Third Avenue.

5:47 a.m.: A citizen called to report a window on his vehicle had been smashed but nothing was taken.  The vehicle was parked in the vicinity of Huntington Avenue, South Maple Avenue and Tanforan Avenue.

12:03 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Santa Clara Avenue where a a husband and wife were involved in a high decibel argument.

10:57 p.m.:  In an ironic twist, there was a drunk guy in a bar in the 400 block of San Mateo.  Police were called when the man refused to leave.

10:11 a.m.: Police received a report of a man collecting cans from the garbage.  The man was escorted by two pit bull terriers that were off leash.

11:18 p.m.: Police received a report from the 1100 block of El Camino Real that two men were trying to use a stolen credit card to pay for their drinks.

6:19 p.m.:  Police received a report of a man with no shoes lying on the ground in the 1200 block of El Camino Real.  The man was smoking a cigarette.

8:41 p.m.: Police received a complaint of a loud party in the 2000 block of Del Norte Drive.  There is no indication of whether it was a St. Patricks Day celebration or if the celebrants were celebrating a bubble team getting invited to the big dance.

8:50 p.m.: Officers were unable to locate the black car driving erratically on El Camino Real.

Monday, March 18, 2013

Time Unknown:  Police nabbed a drunk driver in a parking lot in the 500 block of El Camino Real.

9:33 a.m.: A woman in the 700 block of Pepper Drive asked to have a gun destroyed.

11:12 a.m.: A handicap placard and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a car parked in the 1200 block of El Camino Real.

5:50 p.m.: A citizen reported an attempted daytime burglary in the 400 block of Elm Avenue.
