San Bruno Police Log: Man Robbed at Gunpoint, Man Hit with Baseball Bat and Lots of Car Burglaries

1:41 a.m.: A citizen on Muirfield Circle reported hearing three or four gunshots.  A nearby neighbor reported 7 gunshots.  Police reported finding no shooters.

6:38 a.m.: A man on the sidewalk in the vicinity of Crestwood and Rollingwood Drives was screaming.  Officers believed it was a mental thing.

10:09 a.m.: Officers were patrolling the area around the 2800 block of Maywood Drive after receiving reports of people hanging out in their cars smoking pot and drinking alcohol in the area.

 2:57 p.m.:  Two buildings in the vicinity of the 900 block of San Mateo Avenue were spray painted with graffiti.

4:07 p.m.: Officers received a call about a dog locked in a car.  The dog was barking.

5:28 p.m.: A customer left a car at a mechanic shop on Montgomery Ave.  When she came to pick op the car, she noted it had been stolen.

7:14 p.m.: Officers were called in to separate two neighbors who weren’t acting real neighborly while discussing a parking issue.

7:51 p.m.: A woman in the 700 block of West Angus reported receiving a text from her husband who was with the couple’s four-year-old child at a story time event.   The text said, “Help me.”

9:04 p.m.: Police received a report of a lewd act involving a female minor in the 800 block of West Second Avenue.

9:08 p.m.: Three bicycles were stolen from the backyard of a home in the 500 block of Third Avenue.

9:23 p.m.: Two men showed another man a gun then took the man’s backpack while laughing art him. 
The theft took place at a gas station on Linden Avenue.

6:00 a.m.: A vehicle was stolen from the 1100 block of Cherry Avenue.

7:10 p.m.: A resident in the 100 block of Eastburn Court reported their vehicle was burglarized during the night.

7:23 a.m.: Police received a report of a white Ford F-350 being stolen sometime during the prior evening.

7:25 a.m. (approx.): Another resident in the 100 block of Eastburn Court reported their vehicle had been burglarized during the night.

1:47 p.m.: Police received a report of a woman with purple hair in the vicinity of Sneath Lane and El Camino Real.  The reporting person believed the purple haired lady might be a person reported missing the previous week.  It wasn’t her.

2:22 p.m.: There was a residential burglary in the 2400 block of Whitman Way.

2:46 p.m.: A resident in the 2200 block of Trenton reported the door from the garage to the kitchen had been kicked in and some items were stolen from the house.

9:55 p.m.: Police were called to the 700 block of Easton Avenue where they mediated a dispute between a mother and her son.  It was reported that the son had been drinking.

7:44 a.m.: A fence in the 1100 block of Herman Street was tagged with graffiti.

11:30 a.m.: A woman in the 2000 block of Crystal Springs Road called to report her friend had been raped.  Investigating officers found there was no merit to the allegation.

Thursday, March 7, 2013

2:36 p.m.: A man reported that two rolls of copper wire were stolen from his truck the previous evening.

4:05 p.m.: Police received a report that numerous buildings in the vicinity of the 900 block of San Mateo Avenue had been tagged with graffiti.

4:39 p.m.: An off duty police officer nabbed two people in the vicinity of Peachwood Court, Plumwood Place and Chestnut Avenue.  The two people were entering a backyard where they didn’t belong.

Friday March 8, 2013

10:37 a.m.: A red Ford was stolen from the 400 block of San Anselmo Avenue.

1:38 p.m.: A commercial burglary occurred in the 1200 block of El Camino Real.  Police continue to investigate.

5:59 p.m.: A woman reported that her friend’s car that had been reported stolen was in the 400 block of San Mateo Avenue.  The woman showed good judgment when refused to approach the vehicle.

Saturday March 9, 2013

1:53 p.m.: Police were called to the 600 block of Fifth Avenue where a drunk man was lying on the lawn.  He was arrested for being drunk in public.

5:14 p.m.: A man was inside a house of worship in the 500 block of San Bruno Avenue.  He was yelling and screaming and may have had some mental instability.

Sunday March 10, 2013

7:01 a.m.: A man was reportedly attacked with a baseball bat in the vicinity of Courtland Drive and Whitman Way.  It is not clear if the attack is related to the numerous car burglaries reported in the same area.

10:35 a.m.: Police received a report that a vehicle parked in the area of 3000 Fleetwood Drive was burglarized and tools, a garage door opener and a GPS device were stolen.

1:02 p.m.: A car was reported stolen from the Tanforan Shopping Center.

1:47 p.m.: Numerous vehicles were burglarized in the vicinity of Courtland Drive and Whitman Way.

6:37 p.m.: A car was stolen from the vicinity of Huntington and Pacific Avenues.
