San Bruno Police Log, March 17-20: Stolen Military Equipment, Falling Trees, and Student Taunted by Facebook Messages

A sampling of incidents reported to the San Bruno Police Department from March 17-20.

March 17

8:34am. Police received a call about a Mills High School student leaving school on the March 16 after writing a 38-page letter about wanting to kill himself.

12:09pm. Police received a report about someone sending Facebook messages taunting a student who subsequently wanted to harm himself.

9:52pm. Police received a call about a possible death threat involving a man's son threatening him with a bow and arrow on the 1900 block of Earl Avenue.

March 18

10:10am. Police received a call from an elderly woman on the 1100 block of National Avenue who claimed to have received numerous calls from someone telling her to go to Western Union and wire some money.

March 19

12:27pm. Police received a call about military equipment and other items being stolen from a storage locker on the 700 block of Glenview Drive.

March 20

12:19am. Police received a call about a tree that fell on several apartments and took out some windows and a wall on the 400 block of Piccadilly Place. No one was injured.

3:56am. Police received a report about a tree branch on the wires creating some sparks near Crystal Springs Road and Cunningham Way.

7:24am. Police received a call about a splice box hanging from exposed phone wires due to a tree falling near San Antonio and Santa Helena avenues.

9:38am. Someone arrived at the station wishing to have a shotgun from his father’s house destroyed.
