San Bruno Police Log: More Car Burglaries, Stolen Van Recovered and a Possible Pickpocket Victim

 9:30 a.m.: Officers opened an investigation into the theft of a white van from the 100 block of Ross Way.

10:47 a.m.: The van reported stolen earlier was located in the 3700 block of Pacific Heights Blvd.

 2:30 p.m.: A citizen wanted to speak to an officer regarding her ex-husband.  She is having issues with him.

6:58 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of El Camino Real where a citizen reported the theft of an iPad.

10:07 p.m.: Police opened and investigation into a car burglary that occurred in the 800 block of El Camino Real.   A backpack containing a laptop computer was stolen.

10:54 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into another car burglary in the 800 block of El Camino Real.  The driver’s side window of a car was smashed and a backpack was stolen.

11:00 p.m.: Officers investigating the burglary of a vehicle in the 800 block of El Camino Real noticed another car with a broken window.  They left contact information for the car’s owner.

11:05 p.m.: Police were notified of a suspicious person in the 600 block of Easton Avenue.   A caller reported a man under a bush with a bottle of alcohol.

11:58 p.m.: A woman claimed to be the victim of a pickpocket after she discovered an envelope containing a large amount of cash was missing.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
