San Bruno Police Log, Oct. 7-10: Suspicious Talent Scout Looking for Home, Knife-Wielding Patron Outside Bar, and Dirt Fight at Dog Park

A sampling of incidents reported to the San Bruno Police from Oct. 7-10.

Oct. 7

8:31am. Someone reported that a car had been broken into on the 2200 block of Oakmont Drive and that its car radio had been stolen.

3:14pm. Police received a call about a suspicious-looking man on the 200 block of Elm Avenue who was wearing shorts and carrying a dirty clipboard saying that he was a talent scout looking for a home to rent.

4:37pm. Someone reported that a wallet with $1,950, a debit card and green card had been stolen from an office on the 1000 block of Bayhill Drive.

Oct. 8

12:52am. A patron at The Dog House reported that a suspicious person in the parking lot of the bar had a knife.

8:15am. Gang graffiti was reported on a garage door and playground area on the 1200 block of Commodore Drive.

9:27pm. A drunk driver was reported on 500 block of Linden Avenue.

Oct. 9 

2:50am. Police responded to a report of 15 to 20 drunk people fighting on the 900 block of El Camino Real.

12:03pm. Someone reported that two guitars and a car stereo were stolen from a home on the 1800 block of Oakmont Drive. The items were supposed to be for a garage sale that day.

1:08pm. A resident on the 3000 block of Fleetwood Drive called police to tell them he was selling several airsoft rifles at a garage sale.

9:59pm. Someone reported a burglary of a car that was parked in the parking structure at the Shops at Tanforan.

Sometime before midnight, a drunk driver was reported on the 200 block of City Park Way. 

Oct. 10 

5:19am. A drunk driver was reported near Florida and San Anselmo avenues slumped over the wheel in a pickup truck.

2:29pm. Police responded to a report of an accident involving a person on motorcycle who was injured on the 100 block of Monte Verde Road.

4:20pm. BART police requested help responding to a report of a man who was allegedly taking parts off of a bicycle chained to the racks in front of the San Bruno BART station.

6:56pm. Police responded to a call from a woman who said she was pushed and injured by another woman on the 500 block of Linden Avenue when she asked the woman to turn down her music.

7:13pm. Police responded to a report of someone who allegedly threatened someone else at Commodore Dog Park and threw dirt in the person's face.
