1:28 a.m.: There was a fight in a parking lot on the 100 block of Angus Avenue.  No one was arrested.

2:04 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Huntington Avenue where two men were spotted trying door handles of cars in an employee parking lot.

2:29 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of San Mateo Avenue where a group of people was being loud.  Responding officers had the group move along.

11:23 a.m.: Two mini refrigerators and six ashtrays were stolen from an unlocked storage room at a building in the 900 block of El Camino Real.

2:27 p.m.: Police were informed that a vendor was selling strawberries in the vicinity of Crystal Springs Rd. and Cypress Avenue.

2:20 p.m.: A suspicious man was reported on the 400 block of Milton Avenue.  He’d been seen in the area on other occasions, sitting in a carport while smoking a cigar.

3:11 p.m.: Officers opened an investigation into a vehicle burglary on the 4000 block of Skyline Blvd.

4:03 p.m.: Officers arrested 36-year-old South San Francisco resident Matthew Wendt for a weapons violation.  The arrest took place on the 1100 block of El Camino Real.

9:34 p.m.: Officers checked the area near the 3500 block of Bering Drive where a group of boys was ringing doorbells.  They couldn’t find the boys.

1:22 a.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of San Diego Avenue where a loud party was reportedly taking place.  The party appeared to have ended before officer arrived on the scene.

2:14 a.m.: Officers were called to the 6200 block of Shelter Creek Lane where a loud party was under way.

2:16 a.m.: This time the noise complaint came from the 1600 block of Niles Avenue.

Approximately 2:30 a.m.:  Officers on routine patrol stopped a car near El Camino Real and Euclid Avenue.  The car’s driver, 23-year-old Tony Silifaiya of San Francisco was arrested for driving while intoxicated.

6:27 p.m.: A car parked on the 1200 block of El Camino Real was burglarized.  A camera and lenses were stolen.

10:03 p.m.: A man who had been drinking was at a business on the 500 block of El Camino Real saying he wanted a room.  Officers who were dispatched to the scene arrested 51-year-old Joseph Brignolo of Sonora.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
