1:02 a.m.: A business in the 1800 block of Monterey Drive asked for police assistance when a customer said shoe couldn’t pay her $70 food tab.

8:14 a.m.: Patrol officers monitored traffic on Monterey Drive and Sneath Lane after police received complaints of school busses running stop signs in the area.

12:00 p.m.: A suspicious person in the 600 block of San Mateo Avenue was cited for having an open container.

6:57 p.m.: A family in the 500 block of Green Avenue got a rude shock when they discovered their daughter’s ex-boyfriend who was staying with them, stole $300.

8:43 p.m.: A man living in the 3500 block of Exeter Drive asked for police assistance when his ex showed up at his home.

7:54 p.m.: Fire personnel canceled a request for police traffic control when it was discovered the heavy smoke coming from an apartment complex in the 800 block of Commodore Drive was coming from a barbeque.

7:46 a.m.:  Someone stole a car cover in the 1400 block of Sequoia Avenue.

10:14 a.m.: A man walking his dog on Fleetwood Drive was attacked by another dog.  He killed the other dog.

10:58 a.m.: The staff at the Bay Hill Inn requested assistance from the San Bruno Police Department.  The staff was having trouble evicting someone.

12:37 p.m.: Two customers at Don Picos got into a little dust-up.  Police were called in to help calm the situation.

4:05 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of San Mateo Avenue where six men were reportedly smoking marijuana.

4:12 p.m.: Police were called to the 600 block of Fourth Avenue where a car had been stolen.  Upon arrival, officers opened an investigation.

4:37 p.m.: Police were called to the 1200 block of El Camino Real where a car had been burglarized.

4:59 p.m.: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Sycamore Avenue after receiving a report of a woman beating on a man.

7:35 p.m.: A business in the 500 block of San Mateo Avenue reported the theft of two packs of Scratchers.

7:45 p.m.: Police received a report of a car burglary in the 1100 block of El Camino Real.  A motorcycle helmet and gloves were stolen from the car.

8:44 p.m.: Police were dispatched to the 0 block of Buena Vista Avenue where a residential burglary occurred.

Editor’s Note:  Sometimes you might find items in the police log that seem humorous but please remember, the men and women whose job it is to protect us rarely find it funny when they are approaching a drunk person or a building where the alarm is going off.
