Sheriff’s Office to Take Part in Virtual Ride-A-Long

This is part of a global effort to reach citizens through Twitter.

The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office will join law enforcement agencies around the world participating in a global tweet-a-thon this Friday, Nov. 1.

The Sheriff’s Office has hosted several virtual ride-alongs prior to this event, but never in coordination with an international effort. A similar event was held in March of this year and over 200 law enforcement agencies in 10 countries participated using the hashtag #PolTwt.

The Sheriff’s Office will tweeting from a coastside patrol shift with Sheriff’s Office K9-Vodo this Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Ride along at https://twitter.com/SMCSheriff
