Suspect in Fatal Hit-and-Run Pleads Not Guilty

Mitnesh Reddy, 21, entered a plea of not guilty Thursday morning and is being charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence of alcohol and felony hit-and-run after he allegedly killed a woman in a hit-and-run crash in November.

The driver who allegedly struck and killed a 61-year-old San Bruno woman on Nov. 17 in an early morning crash pleaded not guilty Thursday morning to several felony charges in connection with the accident, the San Mateo County district attorney's office said.

Mitnesh Reddy, 21, of San Bruno was arrested shortly after the crash at about 3:50 a.m. when his vehicle, described by the San Mateo County Times as a Cadillac STS, which was traveling south on El Camino Real, hit the driver's side door of Sondra Gentile's Honda Civic as she was exiting Interstate Highway 380.

San Mateo County Chief Deputy District Attorney Karen Guidotti said Reddy will be back in the South San Francisco courthouse at 9 a.m. Feb. 7 to set a preliminary hearing date.
