Police: Taxi Driver Robbed at Gunpoint on San Bruno Avenue Tuesday Night

Police are investigating the Aug. 31 armed robbery after the suspects, two passengers who were picked up in Menlo Park, fled the scene.

A taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday evening on San Bruno Avenue near Alpine Way by two passengers he had picked up in Menlo Park, police said today.

According to police, the taxi driver contacted officers following the alleged armed robbery at about 11:30pm. The suspects had fled the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, and police are now investigating the incident further. Police had no further information in regards to the cab driver or in which direction the passengers fled.

The suspects are both believed to be East Indian men. The passenger with the handgun was described as being a 30-year-old man who is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds, and wearing a collared short, black dress pants and eyeglasses. The second passenger was described as being a 40-year-old man who is 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing 160 pounds with a short-cropped beard.
