Trial Set for Man Who Robbed Pot Farm in San Bruno

The man also had a marijuana grow house of his own in San Bruno, police said.

The case against one of the two men who last year in San Bruno is set to go to trial, the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office said.

Kenny Kong, 35, of San Francisco and Kitae Chae allegedly broke into a Valleywood Drive house owned by two women who were using it as an indoor pot farm and stole more than $12,000.

Two weeks earlier, police discovered that Kong in San Bruno.

Last year, Chae  in connection with the robbery and was sentenced to 18 months of court probation.

The trial for Kong is expected to start Oct. 22.

Kong faces several charges for illegally growing and selling marijuana, among other felony charges.

He remains out of custody on $250,000 bail.
