Woman Steals Fish, Punches Clerk in South City

Police reported that a San Bruno woman attempted to steal fish from Pacific Market in South San Francisco this week.

Police in South San Francisco have arrested a woman who allegedly stuffed her purse full of fish in a market and punched an employee Wednesday evening.

Nataly Stephanie Caicedo, 19, of San Bruno walked into Pacific Supermarket at 1015 El Camino Real and put several fresh fish products into her purse at around 5:45 p.m., Sgt. Bruce McPhillips said.

Store employees saw Caicedo taking the items on video surveillance and confronted her as she approached the store exit, McPhillips said.

Caicedo denied having any unpaid merchandise in her purse and punched a store employee who was preventing her from leaving the store, according to police.

Police responded and took Caicedo into custody. She was arrested for robbery and taken to San Mateo County jail.
