City Council Calls Special Meeting for Tonight
The council is expected to take action related to hiring contractors to rebuild slopes and retaining walls and to reconstruct infrastructure damaged in the Crestmoor disaster.
The City Council has called a special meeting at 6pm today to take action related to rebuilding the Crestmoor neighborhood following the Sept. 9 fire.
The agenda includes:
- adopting a resolution to move forward with a contract to hire a construction firm to make the necessary repairs to the slopes and retaining walls near the homes damaged in the Crestmoor explosion
- adopting a resolution to form an emergency contract with CableCom Services Inc. to reconstruct the cable, Internet and phone infrastructure damaged in the fire
The meeting will be preceded by a closed session meeting about anticipated litigation.
