City Council, Planning Commission Will Discuss Zoning Changes in Joint Meeting

Historic preservation and industrial zones are among the subjects to be discussed though there are no votes planned.

The San Bruno City Council and Planning Commission will have a rare joint meeting on Wednesday, February 20 to discuss updates to the City’s zoning code.

Among the subjects scheduled to be covered are proposed language changes to the zoning code relating to historic preservation, home occupation, industrial zoning, landscaping, parking and permitting.

City’s periodically consider changes to zoning code language changes in order to address new trends in housing and business.  City’s throughout the Bay Area are considering zoning changes that would allow for more high density housing near transit hubs and place greater restrictions on placing housing in areas near heavy industrial uses.
