Highway 101 Temporary Ramp Closures Schedule

A Caltrans ramp metering project will close several freeway ramps during nights this week in South San Francisco and San Bruno.

The following on-ramps and off-ramps will be closed various nights between Wednesday and Friday.

Wednesday Nov. 14:

  • Northbound on-ramp from East Grand Ave./Airport Blvd
  • Northbound on-ramp from S. Airport Blvd.
  • Southbound on-ramp from Produce Ave.

Thursday Nov. 15:

  • Northbound on-ramp from S. Airport Blvd.
  • Southbound on-ramp from Produce Ave.
  • Northbound on-ramp from Westbound 380
  • Northbound on-ramp from Eastbound 380
  • Southbound connector on-ramp from Westbound 380
  • Southbound connector on-ramp from Eastbound 380
  • Southbound on-ramp from San Bruno Ave.

Friday Nov. 16:

  • Southbound connector on-ramp from Westbound 380
  • Southbound connector on-ramp from Eastbound 380
  • Southbound on-ramp from San Bruno Ave. 
  • Northbound on-ramp/collector from San Bruno Ave. 

Detour signs will be placed to direct drivers to alternate ramps onto Highway 101.

Oh boy, more metering lights. All these things do is cause traffic congestion on already busy streets. El Camino at 380 is already a traffic nightmare, imagine how bad it's going to be once these lights are installed. Just check out the Hickey Blvd/280/Junipero Serra intersection in Daly City. When the metering lights are on, traffic on Junipero Serra & Hickey is a nightmare.
