Many singles starting out, struggling young families and seniors may be missing out on an opportunity to lower their City of San Bruno utilities bill by 25 percent. That’s the discount offered by the City if you meet certain income restrictions.

The combined income likely affects many 20-somethings in their first jobs, or seniors living on social security, in addition to low income families.

The discount applies to water and sewer, garbage and cable bills. The application for reduced rates is online.
