New Salon to Move Into Vacant Downtown Storefront

The location used to be one of the many downtown buildings owned by Lullaby Lane.

A San Bruno hair salon is getting ready to move into one of the many vacant storefronts on San Mateo Avenue after the Planning Commission approved the project on Tuesday.

, which proposed to relocate to 574 San Mateo Ave.—one of the storefronts left vacant when —needed the Planning Commission's approval before it could move forward because the salon would require 20 parking spaces to be available. Previously, that storefront only needed six parking spaces to be available.

The new site for the salon is one of the many downtown buildings that was previously owned by Lullaby Lane.

Nearly all of the former Lullaby Lane locations are now filled with new businesses, and another former Lullaby Lane storefront is under construction for a new tenant, according to the city.

With the addition of Salon 725, San Mateo Avenue will now have nearly 10 hair salons.

To accommodate the need for more parking spaces, customers will be encouraged to park in the nearby municipal parking lot.
