To better coordinate responses and execution from all county entities, a team from San Luis Obispo came to Redwood City to provide an Earthquake Management Course.
The weeklong course from the California Specialized Training Institute (CSTI) culminated in a mock quake.
Employees from the Red Cross to Fire Departments to the Police Departments knew how to communicate with each other for all emergencies from a hospital collapse to a severe earthquake.
Employees were also instructed on how to apply for reimbursements from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA.)
