Are you helping your son or daughter choose a sorority/fraternity?

Choosing the wrong sorority can determine your reputation.

"Sorority, fraternity, that's their choice."  You may want to rethink it.

So, your “baby” is off to college and it’s time to consider sororities and fraternities–oh what fun!

As a parent, your mind goes back to your “house” experiences or the stories you heard from your friends who belonged, and instinctively you blurt, for the thirty-seventh time, “Pun’kin, why don’t you live at home and go to the local university?”  They throw their head up, pausing their text, giving you only a we’ve-been-through-this-before glare.

Do you have a valid reason for being concerned?  I’d say, yes.  

I stumbled upon a forum that discusses which sororities have a “classy” or “slu**y” reputation.Does this mean the “classy” group has taken civility and etiquette classes?  Oh wait, there’s more!

Good news for your soon-to-be college student:  So you got a little wasted and forgot who gave you a night of unforgettable heavy-petting.  Well, worry no more, now you can enjoy a night of anonymous bliss and find the unknown lover by describing your tryst to jog their memory.

At UC Berkeley, students have a Facebook page and other on-line sources strictly for hook-ups. According to Huffington Post : College, a similar service was started at a New York University.  

More sex-ed classes?  More lectures?  Or, strike it up to “let kids be kids…they’ll find their boundaries.”
