Oh Gravy, Delicious Gravy

What kind of etiquette, if any, should be used when eating a dish that comes with sauce?

Spaghetti, linguini, vermicelli, angel hair…all fabulous, but nothing without the sauce!

Whether you call it gravy, sauce, salsa, or sugo, all I know is that most of us just want to sop up every last bit that caresses the bottom of the plate.   You break off a chunk of bread and with one smooth swish around the plate you sop up every last drop of the delectable sauce.   Longingly and quickly you bring it up to your lips, mouth open wide and viola, the best part of the meal melts in your mouth.

Should 'etiquette' be thrown out the window when it comes to soaking up the sauce?
