Cap Students Say, 'Take That, PI!'

Capuchino High may be in Program Improvement, but students are picking up their academic weapons and fighting back.

Being in PI, sucks. No doubt about that. But instead of letting Program Improvement—a label given to a school that doesn't meet yearly academic goals established under the No Child Left Behind Act—get the best of them,  students are fighting back. That's according to a new video produced by the school's Art of Video and IB Film program, which put a fun spin on what otherwise would be considered a depressing topic.

The Art of Video and IB Film program is a digital filmmaking program for teens at Capuchino High School. The course studies the art of filmmaking through experience with hands on-projects and the study of film. Dominic Bigue founded the program in 2000. He's also the instructional technology coordinator for the San Mateo Unified High School District.
