Pictures from Around the Cosmos

Join UC Berkeley Astronomer Jeff Silverman for a tour of the universe. We'll travel from the Sun to galaxies  at the edge of the observable Universe.  Along the way we'll see recent images of and hear about current research at UC Berkeley on planets and moons in our Solar System that may contain living creatures, clouds of gas that are giving birth to new stars, old and bloated stars that will explode any day now, possibly Earth-like planets around other stars, beautiful galaxies that are near twins of our own Milky Way, pairs of galaxies that are smashing into each other right before our eyes, and a whole lot more!
