There are many questions about the SOS (Save Our Schools), the form, function, membership, purpose, etc.
At the School Board Meeting last week, there were many interesting discussions about the function of the SOS.
- SOS should spearhead the effort to get support for a
Parcel Tax. - SOS should focus on fundraising.
There was also a discussion about the form of the SOS
and the level of Board participation in the SOS. There was a discussion about structure and limiting membership in the SOS Committee to one representative from each school.
It was late and so the discussion was stopped, the
motion withdrawn, and it was decided to table the Action Item for a special Board Meeting this Wednesday, May 16th.
Before the Special Board Meeting tomorrow evening, concerned parents and community members need to meet, talk, and come together on a proposed plan to answer the questions raised and provide clear focus to the discussion about the SOS. We need to speak up now!
