School District Goes Solar

The San Bruno Park School District's new solar panel system is expected to offset about 90 percent of the district's annual electricity bill.

San Bruno Park School District officials held a ceremony today to kick off the district's new solar panel system.

Designed and built by Cupertino Electric, the solar panels are at each school and the district office. The $7.2 million project was paid for with Clean Renewable Energy bonds and funds from the sale of the Carl Sandberg site.
