BASEBALL: Capuchino Ends Season With Loss

Nine runs are just too many for the Mustangs to overcome.

An impressive season ended Wednesday afternoon for the Capuchino Mustang baseball team when they lost 9-3 to Carmel at the Padres home field.

"They had a really short fence, that at Capuchino would have been pop-flys, they hit three home runs, and they scored a lot of runs off those home runs," said first baseman Tim Gretter.

Starting pitcher Corey Faubel gave up six earned runs in 4 2/3 innings.  Gretter finished the tilt on the mound.
