Tahoe Snow Resorts Are Now Open
Skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports are in full swing in the Sierra.

If you're looking for something to do the rest of Thanksgiving weekend other than eat or shop, most Tahoe snow resorts are now open.
After winds delayed last Friday's initial opening day, Heavenly Mountain Resort opened for the 2013-2014 ski and ride season on Saturday.
The resort opened the Gondola and Tamarack Express, accessing 14 acres and 1.5 miles of skiable terrain. The resort plans to open additional terrain this week, conditions permitting.
Northstar California Resort also opened Saturday, and Kirkwood Mountain Resort on Monday, giving season pass holders access to all three Tahoe resorts leading into the Thanksgiving holiday.
