San Bruno Vice Mayor Rico E. Medina advised that San Mateo County Board of Supervisors Dave Pine arrived in time last night to join the Vice Mayor on the walk.Recently a San Bruno resident ( Bernabe Jr. Latorre Lactawen ) was hit and lost his life crossing El Camino Real at Jenevein. Bernabe was a regular walking up and down El Camino Real and San Mateo Avenue.
Tonight at 6:00 p.m. approximately 200 persons met at El Camino Real & Jenevein and walked south on ECR, turned west on Crystal Springs, walked up to Oak ( Bernabe lived on Oak ), walked north to Jenevein, before turning east back to ECR.
San Francisco TV stations KRON 4 and ABC7 had their remote trucks with reporters present.
San Bruno Vice Mayor Rico E. Medina and Councilman Michael Salazar were present. Councilman Salazar walked with the group.
