d.tech High School Update

d.tech gets lots of support!

d.tech student supporters

Recently, two local high school students (and friends of d.tech) created a video showcasing our school. This was a submission for the White House video competition. Richard and Yash (with the help of one of our applicants, Will) did a great job! We are excited for you to check it out here. Thanks to everyone who was interviewed or seen in the video. This is just the first of many d.tech videos, created by innovative and creative young people, that you will see as d.tech continues to make it's mark!

More friends of d.tech

d.school: Staff at the Stanford d.school, Stanford grad students, and Stanford undergrad students collaborate with us to design various aspects of our school culture, the health and wellness program, and the design advisory class. Most weeks, we can be found at the d.school on Thursday afternoons (and often at least one other day) as we continue to work with our partners there. We very much appreciate having access to such great resources, people and an inspiring location.

parents: We're also grateful to the parents of d.tech applicants who have stepped up recently to help us with various tasks including our internship/mentoring program (thanks Ron!), our marketing materials (Fabian Venter rocks!) and spreading the word about d.tech!

Location
We are working with the San Mateo Union High School District to ensure the best location to uphold our program, and we have begun negotiations on two different locations: the College of San Mateo and Mills High School. We'll keep you posted as we continue to negotiate with the district.

Community Info Sessions

Thanks to everyone who has come out to our recent info sessions. We've had a great turnout. We have two more upcoming sessions (please note we had to cancel the February 11th event, but added one on the 10th). We're planning some upcoming sessions at a couple other local middle schools and at the d.school - stay tuned for dates! Please RSVP via the links below. PLEASE FORWARD this to your child's school community and friends who might be interested!
