Thank you for this opportunity; I am Jamie Monozon of Crestmoor Drive.  I have been a resident of San Bruno for almost 25 years and am raising my children here and I love this community.  I’ve made a commitment to San Bruno to leave better then I found it, that’s why I keep my landscape nice and try to make improvements to my home whenever I can.

As the CEO of the San Bruno Chamber of Commerce, I am always working towards economic growth for San Bruno businesses and I see the advantages to putting this issue before the San Bruno voters so they can show their support in improving the San Bruno business community and transit corridor.

I further feel that the proposed changes to Ordinance 1284 will increase the opportunities for existing businesses, create jobs, and build new businesses that will improve the San Bruno the city as a whole.  In my opinion, we will all benefit from stronger commerce and entrepreneurship.  Our neighboring cities have done a fine job and now it’s our turn to take action.

I believe San Bruno is poised and ready to not only continue to be the city with a heart, but to be the heart beat of San Mateo County.

The mission of the San Bruno Chamber of Commerce is to promote and enhance the economic growth and vitality of San Bruno businesses and the community.

As a mom, a homeowner, Chamber CEO and a person who truly cares about this city, it is also my own personal mission as well

I will work with the City of San Bruno in all ways possible to promote and enhance the economic growth and vitality of San Bruno businesses and this community whether we pass this new ordinance or not.

With that said, I am asking the council to please vote yes to add changes to ordinance 1284 to the November ballot and I urge voters to support it.  Thank you

 /s/ Jamie Monozon
