San Bruno Grade Separation Grand Opening

Saturday May 10th 2014 the City of San Bruno celebrated the Official Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting for the Elevated Grade Separation Station.

Caltrain's Mark Simon introduced Master of Ceremonies Deputy CEO, Engineering, Construction and Operations' Chuck Harvey.

San Bruno Mayor Jim Ruane gave a short recap of the many years of citizen involvment that ended today with the completion of the Grade Separation.  3 at grade level street crossings, (Angus, San Mateo Avenue, & San Bruno Avenue) have been replaced and Caltrain is just a little SAFER now.

San Mateo County Transportation Authority Chair Karyl Matsumo gave a short presentation.

Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board Chair Tom Nolan gave a short presentation.

Numerous officials from Daly City and surrounding Cities, along with San Bruno officials participated.

A number of local (within walking distance) businesses showcased their offerings, along with the San bruno Chamber of Commerce and the Capuchino High School Music boosters.
