Tuesday January 14th 2014 the San Bruno City Council meeting included a presentation by Ms. Kate Comfort Harr, Executive Director of Hip Housing, www.HIPhousing.org
Executive Director Harr gave the Council an update on their year's activities and advised them that their funding had been cut.
One of their yearly fundraising projects is their calendar. They hold a coloring contest for school children where the child draws a picture of their house and they add a short statement as to “What my house means to me”.

Of the 12 months, San Bruno children were picked for 3.
Accompanying Ms. Harr and speaking to the Council was March winner Kyle Fok, a Kindergarten student from San Bruno and April winner Kendall Mendoza, a 1st grade student from San Bruno. The third San Bruno winner was kindergarten student Kylie Chan, who was not present.
