New Sculpture Being Added to City Park

The sculpture will recognize volunteers in San Bruno who have made notable contributions to the city over the years.

The city is holding a dedication ceremony on Thursday for the new sculpture that has been installed in City Park to recognize residents who have provided exemplary service to the city.

The in 2009 and two local artists, Saori Idoe and Jonathan Russell, designed it. The memorial recognition sculpture consists of three curved steel pillars that have been built to blend into the landscape of the park.

The names of notable San Bruno volunteers—those both deceased and living—will be attached to the pillars on nameplates over the years.
