Portola Elementary School

<p>A California Distinguished School, Portola Elementary is a K-5 school in the San Bruno Park School District. In addition to the school's core curriculum, students receive academic help in the Homework Club, which focuses on reading and math skills. </p> <p>Portola supports students before and after school with a variety of programs that help to meet individual needs. Students receive academic help in the Early Bird/Late Bird tutorial program, with a focus on reading and math skills. The older students learn new games and get homework help in Kids’ Club, a Park and Recreation-sponsored program. The younger children work on art activities in the Champions daycare program.</p> <p>The school is one of five schools in the district to have an API of 800 or higher. The school received a 2010 Honor Roll Award from the California Business for Academic Excellence Foundation. </p> <p>Portola's principal is Charlie Rohrback.</p>
