The San Bruno Park School District is comprised of seven elementary schools and one middle school, with a total…More enrollment of more than 2,600 students. The schools in the district have received a number of accolades, including California Distinguished School awards, California Business for Excellence in Education awards and Danford Foundation Grant awards for instructional technology. The district also has state-sponsored pre-schools at a number of school sites. According to recent standardized test results, San Bruno Park students scored proficient or higher in math and English/language arts, but were slightly below the state average in science and history/social studies. Capuchino High School is San Bruno's only public high school. Part of the San Mateo Union High School District,…More Capuchino is located at the southern edge of San Bruno, west of El Camino Real near Millbrae. Capuchino is the only school in the district that has an international baccalaureate diploma program. In addition to offering electives in career and vocational technology arts and visual and performing arts, the school also has an AVID course. Additional programs include Freshmen Teams, where first-year students have the opportunity to work with a cohort of teachers to make the transition from middle school easier.</p> <p>The principal is Shamar Shanks.</p>
