Former Amazon CFO Killed in Skyline Blvd. Bicycle Accident
The crash shut down the roadway for two hours.

Former Amazon CFO Joy Covey was killed on Skyline Boulevard near Woodside Wednesday when her bicycle slammed into a minivan that turned in front of her.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Covey had been riding downhill as a minivan driven by a 22-year-old Fremont man was heading uphill. The driver made a left turn onto Elk Tree Road directly in front of Covey, who crashed into the right side of the van.
Covey was declared dead at the scene.

According to her Facebook page, Covey, 50, studied at Harvard and Stanford and worked at Amazon from 1996 to 2000.
Her identity was first reported on PandoDaily, a Silicon Valley blog.
